Can anyone suggest a good Softsampler that has this immediate playable auditioning function I cannot live without?
Much thanks for your thoughts, Ste. I bought MachFive from Motu to replace Vsampler and E-Mu EmulatorX2. The sounds that come with it sound fantastic though I'm a bit disappointed at it's ability to read other sample formats as advertised. It seems to handle sound-fonts pretty good but as far as importing any of the E-Mu stuff, I've had no luck so far. Even bought Chicken Systems' Translator and still have not been able to get the Emulator sounds imported in a usable way without massive editing. It does have a very nice Library/Auditioning function if you have a lot of sounds.
Not sure if there's a demo available but I think it's basically the UVI workstation in Motu clothing. Best, guitardood.
