Particle Illusion Library
As you're probably aware, I haven't been as diligent with the emitter library releases recently as I should have. (As a reminder, we've switched to quarterly releases instead of monthly, but I haven't been very good at even making the quarterly releases.) Today we have released the Q2 and Q3 libraries for pI3, pIAE, and pIOFX to get all caught up. These aren't just any libraries though.these are six of the Pro Emitter libraries! You may be aware that we stopped selling the Pro Emitters a while ago. The reason for that was that we wanted to make them available to.all.
particleIllusion users, as they showcase what pI can really do. I released 3 libs for Q2 and 3 for Q3: Abstract, Eclectic 01, Logo and Text, Graphics Elements 2, Artistic Backgrounds, and Pyro 01. They should show up in the 'check for updates' dialog of pI3 so that's the recommended method of installing, or if you're a pIAE or pIOFX user, go directly to the wondertouch.com emitter downloads page or use these direct links to each library: (Unzip these into your 'Emitter Libraries' folder to use them in pI) I know that some of you may already have all of the Pro Emitters, so this may be a disappointment to you (no 'new' emitters for a while). Be optimistic though - with the release of these, we can now start making variations of these.killer.

emitters and release them in the future libraries. So you may have to wait a while for them to show up, but you're going to be getting some really great stuff! Do I need to point out that these emitters are really quite special? The artists who created them utilized many previously-unknown tricks to get pI to do some really incredible things.
I know you'll be impressed if you haven't seen the pro emitters before. How about some thumbnails?
Download and enjoy! I think you'll be amazed at what you find here. Please let me know if these libraries do not show up in your 'check for updates' library list!

Announced the immediate availability of new for particleIllusion 3.0 on Wednesday. Six new libraries for the particle animation application are available, each with 30 different emitters, and include effects like explosions, auroras, and breaking glass, motion graphics and artistic backgrounds, and text and abstract effects. Wondertouch offered a description for each library: Abstract This library includes very creative, organic, and beautiful emitters useful in composing backgrounds and adding graphics elements. Most of these emitters involve flowing, wavy, colorful designs that change over a very long period of time. Text and Logo In this library, 'logo emitters' - some of the most asked-about emitters available for particleIllusion - feature text or a logo that rotates, streams, converges, etc. Artistic Backgrounds This library features a wide variety of animated background emitters, covering a range of styles from slow and subtle to wild and wavy which can be used alone or combined for added variety. Graphics and Distortions This library shows off the diversity of effects possibilities using particleIllusion and contains 'graphics' elements and amazing examples of 'distortions' - effects meant to be used on background footage.

Eclectic 01 This library showcases a fantastic collection of real-world effects: fireballs, explosions, and smokes; 'space' effects including wormholes and cosmic phenomena; and a few 'graphics arts' style emitters that utilize numbers and simple shapes in very complex ways. Eclectic 02 This is the second library collection of realistic and useful effects including dirt, falling debris, breaking glass, clouds, auroras, and frosts. The Professional Emitter Libraries are available at the wondertouch, and are priced at US$39 each, or $175 for the complete six-library set.
