Emm i would just say there is a bug lol, the bug is if you succeed the invasion you would get exp permanently, but if you don't you won't get it permanently. The bug work like this. If you almost lvl up go to invasion map and invade them and if u fail the exp will remain the same as before(almost full) and you will get skill point( but after fail on invasion get back to defense map first and then go invade again), even u lose some money it doesn't really matter because you will get many skill point.

Except hero that need gem to level up. Afk and farming some gold 300,000G/Hour. If only you add more different colony and has somekind of portal to travel to other realm. And let us experience different situation. And add some higher tier upgradable(army evolve). And add wave boss a bit different, I mean make some changes a bit. And after everything is at Max level.
